There is a small lounge bar called the stables in Campbeltown that reminds me of the Empress. Little honeybees, pomegranites and bees etc the colour scheme. I do not know if it is deliberate by whoever did the decor..

I got every single 9 in a reading i did for myself. Even the Hermit. It seemed obvious that it was telling me that every aspect of the 9's, covering all suits/elements had a great relevence in this area of my life. The 9's seemed to then overwhelm the reading and i found it difficult to read them in their individual placements. Make sense?

Hi Couple of links on Kabbalah/Tree of Life :)

You are probably quite right 9 of wands stability - 9's are the the fullest development of force in relation to the forces above it.

Thus stabilty in wands seen as Change is Stability - most humands dislike change

9 of cups you are right it is generally happiness

9 of swords we have seen is mental cruelty

9 of disks more difficult essentially Gain if affairs are well managed.

You are right I am wrong :)

But the 9 of pentacles (my favourite) and 9 of cups are both super positive and show accomplishment and success... and the 9 of wands, though it denotes a struggle to come, or one just passed, still shows great strength. So, I'm afraid I have to disagree with you! Of course, I am only talking about the Ryder-Waite, perhaps other decks show more negative 9s.

I don't know anything about Yesod, but I will take a look at it.

Most 9 cards have fairly negative tones. As it relates to Yesod on the Tree of LIfe = Lunar Function, of course most Lunar influences can be positive. Just not here thus Stress Nightmare Anxiety.

Well, the Ryder-Waite is the only deck that I have! So this blog, at least for the meantime, will only be from the Ryder-Waite.

When I was about 10, my Grandparents said that I could only have a digital watch once I had learned to tell the time on a clock watch. I see the Ryder-Waite deck as my clock watch, not least because it used to be my Grandmothers. I am speaking in pigeon-tarot right now, not nearly fluent enough to move onto a different pack.

But, asthetically speaking, I feel drawn to the Morgan-Greer deck. The Pen Tarot looks cool, but it's major arcana only. I like the Buckland Romani Tarot alot, also the Enoil Gavat, the Knapp-Hall and the traditional Marseille deck - but I couldn't begin to try a deck which only has pips for the minors.

What is your favourite?
